Keep calibration, source inference and a new clock test in separate stages
An indicated frequency can contain both multiplicative gain and additive offset. Two independently known anchors at physical frequencies2 and6 give indications y2 and y6. Fit g=(y6−y2)/4 and B=y2−2g. A separately known frequency4 is unused while fitting; its indication tests the affine response. This test does not establish the same response for every source, temperature or later time.
Learning outcome: Write the exact calibration and source records used by each fit. Freeze the independent-frequency and laboratory-duration predictions before viewing their checks. Propagate original-reading corners, identify shared-parameter correlations, and then complete a newly assigned six-category packet in the retained evidence workspace with prior exposure and assistance declared.
Starting recap
Review the six category notebooks and separate independent standards, fitted inputs and unused checks. Keep energy, entropy, photon count, event duration and arrival timing distinct; retain original-reading uncertainty before composing an inference.
All lessons are open directly. Your saved experiments remain when you leave and return.
Try
For generating beta0.6, gain1.1 and offset0.25, the two anchors indicate2.45 and6.85. They recover gain1.1 and offset0.25 and predict4.65 at the unused frequency4. The receding source has D0.5, physical frequency2.5 and indication3.0, which infer beta0.6. A proper duration4 predicts laboratory duration5; pulse arrivals with proper emission spacing4 are instead separated by8.

Why must a pulse-arrival interval not be labeled the laboratory duration of the two emission events?

Calibrate a frequency scale before testing a relativistic clock prediction
Worked teaching model · synthetic values · Two independent frequency anchors2 and6 calibrate y=1.1f+B; gain and offset are unknown to the inverse analyst. A separate known-frequency4 record tests that affine calibration. An independent rest frequency5 and receding-source indication then infer a longitudinal Doppler speed. A separately measured proper duration4 supplies an unused laboratory-duration test. Flat spacetime, same constant velocity and zero additional frequency drift; bounded reading errors±.01 on each anchor and source indication are not statistical confidence or arbitrary joint certification.
Reset keeps your prediction, captures and practice history.

Independent frequency anchors separate gain and offset before source motion is inferred; a new clock-duration record tests a different prediction.
After the affine fit, D=fsource/frest and beta=(1−D²)/(1+D²). Propagate each original reading bound through f=2+4(ys−y2)/(y6−y2), not independently through correlated fitted slope/intercept. The denominator remains positive on the bounded domain; each coordinate dependence is linear fractional with constant-sign derivative, so extrema occur at original-reading box corners. Beta and gamma are monotone on this positive-receding interval. The laboratory duration is gamma times proper time; pulse arrival spacing has another factor1+beta. Matching either synthetic fresh record does not establish unrestricted clock calibration or real measurement skill.
Predict before inspecting the values. Save contrasting records with assumptions and one alternative explanation. This virtual display does not certify practical measurement technique.

Save a science backup or import one
Science work is stored locally in this browser, separately from mathematics and AI. It does not sync automatically. Use this science-only backup; this checkout's older all-subject export does not include science.
A legacy file is available only when the complete snapshot fits the 36 MB limit. For larger snapshots, prepare a complete file set below; never discard notebooks to make a smaller file.
Matching imported notebook drafts replace their current drafts. Omitted lessons and known first attempts remain. Export your current work first if you want to retain both drafts.
Complete file sets and course backups
A file set can hold more work than one science file. Keep its manifest and every part together. Each file is limited to 36 MB. This format needs this version of LearnAI or a compatible newer version; older versions can use only the legacy single-file backup above.
The set includes every saved science course and global continuation at this moment. Later edits need a new export. A conflicting tab exports its own visible work, which may differ from saved work in another tab.
0 file(s) selected. File order and filenames do not determine identity. Missing, changed or conflicting parts block the entire restore; no good part is applied by itself.
