Make learning more comfortable. Changes apply immediately.

Enlarges page content, including diagrams and their labels. You can also use your browser’s zoom.

Choose the colours that are easiest for you to distinguish. Applies to lesson diagrams and lab plots. Labels, shapes, hatching and line patterns also distinguish meanings. Source photographs and raw image brightness stay unchanged; mask-only views are available for image overlays.

Build and defend your work

Plan resources for a changing school or workplace service

Build a fictional resource plan with a budget and at least two products or activities. Use a matrix to calculate needs, test one growth forecast, and compare feasible alternatives. Explain where uncertainty or a nonlinear relationship changes your decision.

Choose an audience, investigate alternatives, copy evidence from your experiments, and produce an artifact. You can open this project at any time. Reports, numerical transfer checks and human review are separate outcomes.

Your project workspace

Plan an invented fair with two activity kits, a reserve and a growing attendance scenario. Show a table of feasible choices and select one with reasons.

1. Collect and compare evidence

Required experiment sources:

Include every source above and at least one pair with different inputs from the same experiment. Explain confounding changes yourself; the presence check does not judge your interpretation.

Open an experiment and change an input or capture a trial to make evidence available here.

2. Write and revise your report

Define each quantity, its permitted range and why the chosen equation represents the situation.

Show a two-row resource matrix or equivalent arithmetic and at least two feasible alternatives. Retain evidence for a rejected alternative.

Specify which observations are available when forecasting. Compare with a simple baseline and label exposed evaluation data.

Explain the objective and constraints. Show a changed input or oversized optimization step that reverses or breaks a naive recommendation.

Recommend one plan, explain uncertainty and state which omitted real-world condition needs measurement.

This field stores up to 12,000 characters of inert text. Code runs only through the explicit bounded editor in the relevant lessons; project attachments never execute.

Review your work against the rubric

  • Variables and results have consistent units and dimensions.
  • Feasible choices satisfy the stated budget and resource constraints.
  • At least one numerical comparison is independently checked by arithmetic or enumeration.
  • Forecast evaluation does not use future observations as prediction inputs; repeated tuning is disclosed.
  • The recommendation distinguishes a model assumption from a measured fact.
11 evidence requirements remain
  • Capture evidence from allocate a budget.
  • Capture evidence from matrix resource plan.
  • Capture evidence from forecast and backtest.
  • Capture evidence from slopes and optimization.
  • Include two different input configurations from the same experiment to compare.
  • Write your situation, variables and units.
  • Write your resource calculation.
  • Write your growth or forecast evidence.
  • Write your optimization and counterexample.
  • Write your decision and model limits.
  • Add your project artifact: code, analysis, prototype or decision brief.

Editing the report or evidence returns it to draft. Recording verifies field presence and input comparisons, not correctness of your reasoning or code.

3. Check transfer to unfamiliar cases

These authored cases use different numbers or conditions from the lesson practice. They are public local checks, not secure certification. Each case permits three submissions. Opening, first responses and attempt counts survive imports; no reset creates fresh evidence.
