Transfer the audit to a changed cycle and a removed observation
Without copying the primary matrices, rebuild the dossier’s mathematical core for vertices 1,2,3,4,5, edges 1→2,2→3,3→4,4→1, and isolated vertex 5. Readings are (1,2,1,−2), weights (1,1,4,4), and gauges p₁=p₅=0. Derive the matrix, exact-consistency condition, complete ungauged kernel, unique weighted minimizer and loss. Verify through both the cycle argument and a normal-equation residual. Then remove the fourth sensor entirely: give the new exact fit and explain why loss zero is not evidence of improved sensor accuracy. Finally reverse only the third edge’s orientation and negate its reading; prove how the solution and loss transform. Submit the changed matrices and at least one independent arithmetic check, with public-solution exposure stated.
